MyFirstEV Rebate Update

What is MyFirstEV?

MyFirstEV is California’s new EV rebate program offering rebates for first-time EV buyers for new and used ZEVs or Zero Emission Vehicles. The rebate program that offers first-time EV buyers a $3,500 rebate on a new EV for vehicles worth $50,000 or less and $1,750 for used EVs sold for under $25,000. The price cap does not apply to Lucid or Rivian vehicles as they are headquartered in California. When the vouchers are gome the rebate program is over and Tesla vouchers are gone and therefore Teslas are no longer eligible.

Income Requirements

There is no income cap on the rebate. The MyFirstEV rebate program can be combined with low-income programs like Clean Cars 4 All and the Driving Clean Assistance Program.

The Vehicles

Eligible vehicles must be purchased from a dealer for one of the 13 particpating automakers or directly from Lucid or Rivian. Hybrids do not qualify for this California rebate program. When the vouchers are gone the program is over for that Automaker and its dealers. Tesla vouchers are already gone.
